what will life bring...

A friend of mines named Leeman Now is leaving to pursue his masters. He will be moving to Hong Kong in a few weeks, and is hoping to achieve his masters in Business Finance. He has been a really good companion, and a person to whom I can always turn for some good advice with my career. He volunteers heavily with the Red Cross, and many more other groups. He graduated from Davis, and all in all has turned out fairly well. He has his own blog site, and there is some really good stuff on it. In a no homo way, he is a role model that I want to become someday. I want to be a person who can give back, volunteer, and help others. But at the same time be successful in what I am pursuing in my life. He's really into sports as well, unfortunately... he is a A's fan. (A's suck) He knows a lot about what is going on in the world, and is very well educated. He wont be returning to the bay anytime soon, and wants to pursue his career in Asia. He tells me that Asia will have the three biggest economies in our lifetime: China, India, and Japan. This led me to think... where will i end up in the future? will i turn out as successful? will i become the person i want to become? I too am pursuing a bachelors in finance currently, and hope to get a masters a few years after college. I want to join AmeriCorp and study abroad after my undergraduate studies. I am currently positioned to start an internship back at home with a financial advisor. I am building my resume, and getting that experience i need to be on track. But at the same time am wondering if this is what i want. do i want to enjoy my youth a little longer, or do i want to jump into adulthood? All these are good questions, but to which I have no definite answers. what I do know is what i want in life. I know what i want to happen, and where i want to be. I'm going to be a financial advisor, and work for a profound company. However, at the same time, I will need to put my family in the picture. Do i need to put them into my future, or can i just lead my own path? as of now, I am focusing primarily on myself. I am being greedy, and I am working for myself. that's what i see life as, you need to be greedy to get to the top. I'm sure this has left some of you in conundrum, but let me tell you what I do know. some day i will be on the top, and I'll look back at my journey. I hope that in that journey, I have given back to the community, and that i still give back at the top. someday i will throw hundred dollars out like pennies. be positive, and look towards the future with a smile. I believe in god, and I know that we are all given this chance. the chance to prosper and be successful. but we must always remember to give back, and never truly be to greedy.

my prayers are with you Leeman. good luck, and see you at the top

Swine Flu (its ok) chillax

Yes its spreading... but no it hasn't killed any people yet. The center for disease control has reported that on average kills 36,000 individuals based on influenza cases. that means on average, regualr people die from the COMMON flu which we have developed vaccines for. since january of 2009, its reported that there are 19,000 confirmed cases of deaths from the common flu. People who die from flu's are commonly elderly aged individuals who have already developed some other cases of diseases. furthermore, CDC reports that there are only 159 reported deaths in Mexico at this time. why have people died of swine flu in Mexico, but not here in the US? /mexico is less developed nation, and their medical availability is not as strong or efficient as other developed nations. they do not have the availiabilty of vaccines, and medicine that we as developed nations ahve access to. We in the US are fortunate to live in a more developed nation, and have all these access to medicine and vaccine. Most cases reported in theUS have been cured or there have been no reported deaths as of yet. The only reason swine flu is scarring us so much is that because we have not developed a vaccine for it yet. our system has not developed a immunity to it yet, as compared to the common flu. regular flu medicine such as thermaflu and flu vaccines have been reported to help and cure many of the cases in the US. the swine flu is just another influenze such as the common flu. but until we find a vaccine and have learned more about it... we should take precautionary measures such as washing our hands, sneezing in tissues... ect, taking fluid. just becareful, and if you have any symptoms that are harsher than usual... contact your docotorrs!!!

Swine Flu Virus Plus Extras

Many fear that the next pandemic of our century is here. With a reported 68 death toll in Mexico, along with an increasing amounts of new victims to the Swine Flu virus. As of now it is reported that the Swine Flu virus has been found in California, Texas, Ohio, Kansas, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and is expected to be in many more unknown locations. The swine flu virus originates from pigs, and usually does not harm humans. unfortunately, a new strand of virus has emerged and has evolved to take humans as their hosts. As of now there are numerous amounts of reported strands of swine flu viruses. Because the virus is evolving so fast, scientists are unable to exactly pinpoint the cause of this virus. Regular flu vaccines and medicine are proving to be ineffective against the swine flue virus. Fortunately, several reported cases of swine flu virus in the San Diego area have has patients recover to health. Still the fear of swine flu virus is ever expanding. The EU has reported to suspend all travel to the US and Mexico where the virus has been spotted. Center for Disease control have moved to level 3, and have deployed several teams to the epicenter of these viruses. Scientists are working hard to contain this virus, and finding the cure to this disease. I advice you to wash your hands thoroughly, take in lots of vitamin C, drink lots of fluid, and avoid contact with large groups of people. STAY away from sick people! Many people dye from flu's as a result of antibodies fighting heavily against the invading virus's. Stay home, and avoid contact from people. Keep watching the news, and be informed.

pinkberry (so bored right now)

it's refreshing on warm summer nights, and soothing on cold winter nights. the first lick you endeavor will take your breath away. the second will take you of your feet, and the third... you'll just have to try and find out. so what is pinkberry? is it artificial? is it natural? or is it just like any other yogurt we've tried? infact, pinkberry as reported by the FDA is not yogurt at all. fortunately for pinkberry, the FDA has not suspended the use of "yogurt" on their menues or packaging yet. According to the national yogurt association, yogurt manufactuers need to have a minimum of 100 millions cultures per gram to carry the seal of yogurt products. however, as of yet, the NYA have not approached pinkberry for this violation. I've done some research and have found out that pinkberry is powerdered mix. the only natural and beneficial thing would be the fruits and assortments offered to top them off. pinkberry while carrying the envisionment of healthyness, is not much healthier than its cousin the "ice cream". although it carries less calories and fat its not mutually beneficial as having a fresh bowl of salad or slices of apples. pinkberry has been continuing to reach the FDA's standards of health. but what exatly is that "mystery" powder they are using? we may never know... all i know is that FDA has not made a huge deal out of this, and nothing in the media has spurred up any problems with pinkberry. so until then, keep mixing that "mystery" power, because its freakn DELICIOUS!!!
